IO2 TELEGROW

The second intellectual output of the Telegrow project was supervised by the Italian partner Euro-Net and developed with the careful and precious collaboration of all partners.
The aim of the project was to create a “How to Stay Gold Guide” toolkit that would support professional trainers and learners over 50 in the acquisition and / or strengthening of some fundamental soft skills to support the working regime in a digital environment, promoting actions to a fair balance between professional and private life.
The guide, taking into account its target audience and the purposes for which it is intended, has been designed to be easy to use, attractive and with a highly practical cut, in order to guide the user in a real path of modeling their own transversal skills: soft skills need, in fact, to be consolidated, practice and a strong approach to everyday reality.

The skills indicated by the partnership were identified both through the needs analysis carried out at the time of drafting the project, but above all by analyzing the results obtained through the IO1 survey. The skills are as follows:
• Problem solving in a digital environment
• Flexibility and agility
• Self and stress management
• Emotional control, physical and mental well-being
• Self-empowerment and learning skills
These, according to the surveys conducted, are the areas in which professional workers and students are most critical with the advent of digital work: separating and balancing professional and private life, maintaining the ability to manage the stress and frustration of work and not pour it into the family context.

The partnership has established a framework through which to explain and induce the user to improve the skills covered, using a concise, clear and practical approach. Each skill, in fact, is developed in the following way:
• Case study: a concrete demonstration of how the application of the specific expertise has brought advantages in different working contexts;
• Initial assessment: the user will be able to self-assess their competence and reflect on the degree of mastery of the same before reading;
• The competence: a brief introduction and explanation of the competence, its characteristics and benefits;
• Tips and tricks: the user is provided with simple suggestions to be implemented daily to improve their professional life, supporting the exercise of competence;
• Practical exercises: to test competence with more structured exercises that induce the user to improve and consolidate it;
• Levels of progression: to monitor one’s level of mastery of the competence;
• Final evaluation: to monitor the progress made following the practice and compare it with the initial evaluation.

The guide also contains an appendix on health to manage the infection from Covid-19 and to maintain optimal health in general.
The guide will be disseminated to the partnership organizations and interested stakeholders through multiple dissemination channels.
